STUCK!

Jason got stuck in the Jeep! I can't remember the last time he had to have someone pull him out...

It is good for him to get a bit humbled every once in a while. I think he was trying to show off for Braxton, so serves him right.

He tried using the mega pro truck to pull it out first, it didn't budge it. So Mikey had to come over in the Duramax to tug him out. Jason said it made the suction sound when the jeep popped out. Doesn't this look fun?

Tonight we went out to the Hurricane Dunes for a night ride. Usually when it's been raining all day like today the Dunes are awesome. Tonight was not so awesome for me. It started out with some very serious slipping and sliding on the road leading out from Washington Dam Road to the Dunes--we were pretty much stopped and spinning. When we finally moved the mud hitting the bottom of the jeep scared the heck out of me...Then the dunes were totally chewed up, bumpy, bumpy, bumpy. I'm afraid I was no fun at all, and even ruined the trip for Jason. He said he's going to sell the Jeep...I doubt it. I think he thinks I want him to, but I do have fun on Jeep rides most of the time. My fun limit just comes up way quicker than his.

Hercules and Harli

Herc doesn't love Harli at all : )
She was sleeping here all stretched out and Herc laid at the end of her feet and then gradually they were closer and closer...He's trying not to let on too much but I think she is growing on him.

Mountain Biking

Don't know if I've mentioned that I love to ride my bicycle? Well I also love my new camera so here are some pics of our ride at the Racetrack today...Braxton rocked on the mountain bike, I was impressed. We had fun! Perfect weather, I love Spring!

Doesn't the Double Cab look even cooler loaded with Mountain Bikes?

HERE SHE IS!!

Hey, I got my new camera! It is an Olympus Stylus 1050SW- the most important feature is it is "Shockproof" I can drop it and it isn't supposed to break!! Plus it is waterproof too!

So here is a not so good, but the best I can do at the moment pic of Harli- more to follow when she wakes up!

And I have also taken a picture of my Birthday Present, I got it early, yesterday, even though tomorrow is the actual day! I had asked for a vacuum- I want the Dyson Animal! I officially asked for it, even though I know that means I am officially old, to ask for a practical gift. But it is spendy and I want it! But alas Jason will not let me have a vacuum for my birthday. I must have thrown way too big a fit the year he got me a vaporizer (which I said I needed, around the time of my birthday and he took it to mean I wanted it for my birthday). When he gave it to me I was less than a gracious receiver and totally looked the gift horse in the mouth and said you can't give a NEED for a birthday present! He must have learned too well. So now the vacuum will have to wait. Here is the birthday present-

It is a 52" Sony Bravia. Yes, it is for me, not Jason, right?! Our projector bit the dust last week, and finding a color wheel for a machine that old was proving problematic so here is the solution. It is nice! We were even able to hook up our new Blu Ray player to this baby and use that Christmas present- it makes Finding Nemo look kick butt!

Last but certainly not least Braxton is now here to stay for a while. We will get him into school tomorrow and graduation here he comes!! We're glad to have him here. He helped me get Harli wound down this morning so we have a brief break while she is sleeping, he will be an excellent entertainment committee for Herc and Harli!

Harli is growing by leaps and bounds. Boy I have to get that new camera, again or you'll all miss her puppydom completely and she's too cute to miss! Just ask Jason how cute she is at 2am : )
The good thing about being allergic to dogs is that I can't pick her up so when she gets up in the middle of the night it is Jason's job. The bad thing is that he is in bed with a headache right now, probably from having interrupted sleep all week! Poor baby.

We are heading to some MMA fights tonight, should be a lot of fun. The live & local events are always entertaining and we are going with Dave and Kendal, both of whom I love to hang out with!

I just got home from a couple of days on the road for training and meetings. It was great to be a passenger the whole time. I rode from Hurricane to Richfield with 1 person, then Richfield to Orem with another and finally Springville to home with another! Musical cars.

I am so glad to be home and able to play with the puppy! She has already grown, and still no pictures...I've got to improve that, but she is so darling! Jason said he thinks these pets are good for our souls, I said they improve our mental health and he couldn't agree more.

We are also excited to be having our nephew come to live with us for a while- we'll see how long he wants to stay once he gets here and gets into school. It will be fun and he can help us wear out this puppy! She seems to have endless energy, where do I get some?

Harli girl, our new addition

I am trading in my new camera for a different one. I can't seem to take a picture without it being blurry with this one...so that is the reason there is no picture of our new little addition to the family--Harli. She is an 8 week old pit bull pup. Black with a white star on her chest and white socks on 3 of her toes on each paw. She is adorable. We got her yesterday evening. I have been telling everyone how spending our vacation with 2 fantastic dogs taught me that I can't live in a place with 2 dogs. I had trouble breathing all week, used my inhaler more than the last year combined I think. So you may ask yourself why on earth I now have 2 dogs? Well she will have to be an outside dog when she gets a little bigger, that should help. When Jason mentioned that his friend Nick had a friend who had to give away his pit bull pup because he was moving to a place that won't allow pets I said "I'm sure they will find someone else." Then Nick sent a picture to Jason's phone and it was all over! She is absolutely adorable. She is also batting 1000 on the potty front, she has yet to have an accident! She even woke us up to go out at 1:30 this morning. Can't beat that!

Funny story about Herc with her...last night he pretty much ignored her. She barked and growled at him and he just went in the other room and laid down. When we were getting ready to go to bed Jason put her crate next to Herc's bed. Before it was time to go down she was wandering around the room and crawled up on Herc's bed and laid down for a minute then wandered off. Herc just sat with his back to her, like "If I can't see her she's not there". However when we put her in the crate and Herc went to lay down he piled his two blankets off to the side of his bed so they created a barrier between him and her crate then laid down and went to sleep!

Today I am grateful for Jason's patience...I misunderstood a comment and got competitive and made him wait for me to ride this afternoon...big mistake! It was 32 degrees. I was frozen. I complained and whined and was generally a pain in the neck. I was about dead after 9.92 miles. I ruined Jason's workout and frustrated him to no end. I won't be on the road bike unless it is at least 40 degrees. Jason agrees. We still like each other.

Welcome to 2009!

It is 2009!!
Amazing.
We just got home from a fantastic vacation. I am reinvigorated to renew my healthy lifestyle and to go back to work tomorrow. I remember that work is what I do so that I can enjoy my life, but also really appreciate that my work has meaning and I can make a difference for youth and families in St. George. We plan to ride 100 miles per week. I will be eating as prescribed by my doctor- severely limit sugar, processed white flour products, potatoes, and limiting alcohol. I will be healthier at 35 than ever before in my life. The new pic and header to the blog is from our trip to Louisiana for New Years- we rode bikes a bunch, and our friend Alicia put together the awesome header for me! To see more pics join facebook and find me. I'll post albums there. I got the new camera for Christmas but don't know how to use it yet! (Thank you Santa baby.)

Today I am so grateful for my Jas. He is a wonderful husband, he loves me with all of his heart. He tells me the truth, even when it means we may fight today (when I ask "does this make me look fat?" His response is "so you want to fight today?", but if I look fat he will find a way to tell me so I can hear it as concern for my health). I love Jason more today than I did 14 years ago, I didn't think that would be possible. I am truly, madly, deeply in love with my husband and he feels the same! We like each other. We want to spend time together. We want to talk to each other. We trust each other. When things are hard we pull together. When I tell him what I need him to say, he says it. When he has a migraine I cook dinner and keep the bird quiet. For a million little reasons we love each other more and more each day. Not everyone has this. I sometimes think few people do. So I am EVERSOGRATEFUL for my love life. It is the basis for the rest of life, and I LOVE MY LIFE!
